Peterborough 5th February

Another away trip and followed a few pubs Dr Lovegrove recommended before and after the game which was a five fifteen kick off.
Started in The Hand & Heart which was a bit of a walk. However passed a barbers showing Saturday afternoon premiership football on a greek channel on the way to it. A nice pub a bit like someones front room. The Wortlery Almshouse was next which is a nice Sam Smiths place, bit cave like or very stoney. The Palmerston was an all ale place where the beer is poured from a back room behind the bar, a bot odd. The Office next door was more pub like and after a pub on a housing estate it was off to the game. A dramatic 4-4 with Saints being two goals up twice. Afterwards went to the Coalheavers, again an all ale pub, placiung my order the barman said stoutly "it's a stout" allowing me to change my order. After one I cannot remember, Charters was another ale place on a boat. Finally The Brewery Tap near the station is under threat of closure due to redevolpment of that part of the city, a shame as it's quite decent. A good day out.
