I was going to see Lemuria at the Underworld the previous week but then saw they were playing somewhere much more local between Kingston and New Malden. Resisted the temptstion to go in the back bar prior to the show, Lemuria rip through their set with tracks from their albums Get Better and Pebble. Short sharp guitar songs they really are a tight outfit and should be playing bigger venues than clubs like this.
Jimmy Barnes is back with his original band and playing their first UK shows for 30 years. Jimmy on his own does include Chisel classics in his set such as Flame Trees and Khe Shan so it was unusual to see him on stage and not perform some of his own solo stuff alongside these. However it was till a good show being surrounded bu aussies and even time for a snakebite in the walkabout afterwards.
